Default Front DIff

Ok I think I am missing something. I am trying to build up a front diff. I used the parts Tamiya recommended but the out drives seem to be to short. Can someone please help me to figure out which is the right set.

http://www.speedtechrc.com/store/ebp...id=228&id=4615

OR

http://www.speedtechrc.com/store/ebproductdetail.asp?
catmainid=228&id=1993

The latter of the two I have already tried and it doesnt seem to work. Any help appreciated.

I suppose that TamiyaUSA neglected to mention that you must use the 46mm universal shafts from the LW kit/evo4.

Anyone know when is Tamiya made 415 front diff going to be availiable? I know I can build one with MR4TC parts but it's kind hard to find at my LHS.

Any inside prototype testing photo availiable?...

According to Tamiyas website- there's not going to be a front diff.

At this point I'm sure it would be cheaper to just buy the Yokomo/Tamiya parts. If Tamiya did release their own optional front diff I'm sure the cost would be highter.

Anyway....hopefully they do release one and satisfy the large indoor carpet market here in the U.S.

email them to comment on the front diff and maybe it will let them know there are a ton of people wanting one

Tamiya will not be making a new diff but will package all the parts you need to make the Yok version, I learned this at Roar from team driver Fernado, sorry I should have posted this earlier

According to the TRF page, "This is a interim solution and we hope you find it useful." Everything else there, however, makes it seem like they aren't going to release one, so who knows.

i think my question would be...

if they list it on the Tamiya website, is it TCS legal? probably shouldnt be, since it is non-Tamiya parts...

Default Front Diff

I'm not sure how it would be cheaper when you can't even use the stock 415 swing shafts. Total bullshit if you ask me. Would be nice if Tamiya let us know that we were going to need the 46 mm drives. I'm pissed about this stupid ass shit.

Default Whoa Dude!

They aren't even expensive.... plus, they listed that info on on their site as a courtesy, recently. The FULL list has been posted here for... like 6 months.

You aren't the first person to be upset about it, but take a pill and chill, it ain't life or death!

Your right I should have read all 8000 plus posts, I mean what else do I have to do? Bottom line is if Tamiya is going to post a parts list it would be nice to actaully post ALL the parts you will need. I have to order this stuff and to pay shipping twice when I could have paid once. It really doesnt matter what the cost is or if I can afford it. It a matter of principle and good customer service.

I'm done bitchin

You've got to be kidding.... It's posted about every 3 pages or so throughout the entire thread! You must not have read any of the 8000 posts, and/or you can't use a search function. Do something for your self, instead of bitching what the company didn't do for you.... geez. It was courtesy for them to put that up there, and EVERYONE who had to figure this out before you, was not nearly as upset as you are.....
