I think most everyone runs normal 64 pitch gears.

Hmm, i think the pitch that is written on the manual for the 415 (0.4-ish) is the same as 64p, but i'm probably wrong

btw, what do you think of the low friction suspension shafts and balls? I did just replace my orginal ones, and the A-arms slid on these shafts much easier. I don't think they're so much smoother though, but they're hop-ups for god's sake!

The main issue with the Evo IV is that the chassis is too stiff and it does tweak quite easily. The 415 has more flex in it to get the extra traction needed. This is straight from the mouths of, Surikarn, Rheinard, and other Japanese TRF guys. They all would rather run the 415 in Modified.

But..... if you intend on running Stock or 19T, then the Evo IV is an awesome chassis, because the flex issue isn't really required and also the drivetrain is UBER efficient. I'd also probably think that the Evo IV would be good in Modified Foam racing, but I haven't really tested that theory because we race rubbers here.

saturdays 10am to 4pm. check with customer service. sometimes they have special events and close down the track (i.e. TamiyaCon, TCS Events, Reedy Race)

tamiya cars only. everything else is open.

There seems to be rumors and hints going around Tamiya North America that a tub chassis is in the making but for which design I don't know! Best guess is 415 tub, but I also heard a modified TAO4 tub with 415 drive train, this will be possible and makes sense because with the design of a front and rear diff with the new tub that will also be used on the original 415 chassis which is already a for sure thing. When all this will happen? No one will say but it will happen!!! This is all inside information so keep this to yourself! O>K.

It's Tamiya 0.4, not 64dp. Although I use 64dp pinions with it to no ill effect.

Yeah, I'd like to see Tamiya USA more "involved" in the Stateside racing scene. Hopefully if they keep building up the teams, we'll see more and more of them at the big races.
