jun.. when i HAD my 415. i ran D/A up front and A/A in the back. A/B sometimes depending on track conditions. this was for outdoor asphalt, blown/swept, no sauce on CS-27s for stock.

How you getting on with the Narrow Xseries blocks? Have you managed to try them yet?

I managed to pick up a world champ set pretty cheap (main reason being for the Alu rear hubs), so I'm thinking of changing the front blocks from D/A too B/XA, just making the car narrower at the front (and the same width as at the rear). Any thoughts on this guys?

Regards
Ed
I will be testing with them on Tuesday. I have an X-XC Combination in front so it will have sweep, and a double XB combo in back. I ditched the 0 degree hubs for this trial setup, and bought some alloy Evo 4 1 degree hubs.

I wish it were closer to Tamiya blue, but I have one coming anyway. I've been using my digital caliper case as a car stand for too many years lol

I ordered the MS from Tower Hobbies 10 min. ago.. I probably could have found a cheaper source but on the upside I'll have the car in my hands tomorrow. Thanks again for the response.
No prob, hope you enjoy the car, you should, it's awesome

The MS is the only car I've had that was competitive out of the box with the stock setup, so I'm sure you'll like it gonad.

So far Ive tried the XA/XD in front and 1A/1C at the rear(rear upright 0 degree) and instantly noticed the responsiveness of the steering. Eventhough it really didnt help much with the mid and exit it really is not necessary since the MS kit has tons of mid and exit. Still need more steering though cuz I run a tight and twisty med to high traction asphalt track.

Still not satisfied, I realize that the car pushes when entering a corner. I experimented on the throttle trim giving it a little drag brake off throttle to loosen up the rear a bit and it did help a lot. So what I did to substitute this effect was to increase the toe in from 1A/1C to 1A/1XB (rear upright 0 degree) to give the car a bit of drag off throttle and WOW perfect combi...good turn in and at the same time very stable. Kinda wierd though since we all know increasing toe in for the rear will decrease steering.

Anyway for those who find the MS kit too stable below are the changes I made from the standard set up.

Springs:Rayspeed red springs around with rs caps
Front stab: none
Rear stab: Blue
C hub: 2 degrees
Front blocks: flipped Xa/Xd with 2mm spacers
Rear Blocks: 1XB/1C with 1mm sapcers

Hopes this helps.

thanks for that PMR, I'll probably give them a try soon, biggest problem i have is i don't drive enough at the moment.... If i want to work on the car, i have to sack the results at club meetings and make changes for each run....
