The parts arent installed anymore, they are back in the box with the rest of my unbuilt MS.. I'll propably countersink the parts on my regular MS and that will be built by next week.

I currently run the Tamiya Ti axles front and back. So far so good. I run the car in 19t carpet with foam tires. I run the aluminum bones in the rear with Square Ti bones up front. I build my axles dry with locktite on the setscrew. Then I lube them up with 2 drops of micro oil. I'll motor spray them out every race day and relube them up.

Last time I ordered from Acer, I believe it took them a week. I wouldn't mind trying some of SpeedtechRC's ceramic kits though.

Speedtech's ceramics should be much more free spinning than Acer's ceramics, but not as well shielded. I'd prefer them that way, but its more maintenence keeping them clean.

Default Changing from Pro4 to 415 ms

I currently have a Pro4 but I am thinking of getting a Tamiya TRF 415 MS ...! I prefer driving with a front diff or a spool is that an available option for this car? Would I need to change the centre pulley?

Where could I get them from. How good is this car out of the box for stock racing on rubber tyres? Anyone else switched from pro4 to 415?

Thanks
Scott

speedtech make a steel spool for 415 or you can buy another 1way and lock it with epoxy for about the same price.
the speedtech is lighter i think but has more chatter
the epoxyed 1way is heavier, but has less chatter and is amore attractive colour hehe

to make a diff

YOKOMO ZS-508 Diff Adjusting Kit
YOKOMO ZC-S100 Shim Kit (10.0mm diam) 20 pieces
(2) 5x8mm bearings
TAMIYA 51055 415 Diff Pulley
TAMIYA 53379 3mm Lighweight Diff ball set or any 3mm diff ball
TAMIYA 53708 Tamiya TRF415 Center Direct Pulley
TAMIYA 51092 Tamiya EVO IV 46mm Swing Shaft (old suspension)

copied from forty6's signature line

part #53708 is needed for use with both the diff and spool

Sharpie...great minds think alike

No, I let my dog drink motor spray and her eyes turned green.

Hey EJ!
Nice 415 you got there. Messy wiring, bad CA job, filthy transponder, mismatched belts.

Rookie!

WTF are you doing with a spectrum?
