can someone post a pic of them side by side? (front vs frontMS, rear vs rearMS)

Part No. 50985 is a 4degree c-hub for the standard suspension. I belive there was another outhere. I'm sure I had a 6degree when I had my 04R. Anyone know wat the castor was and the part number?

Thanx....
The front shock tower is the same except for material removed that the LW suspension doesn't use. The rear shock tower is lower. I had to move my rear body mounts up one hole when I went to the MS.

The front tower also has the holes slightly wider. I place my MS one over my std one this evening to check the differences between them. I agree with the rear tower, I can run an extra mm of droop with my std shock length now (something I couldn't do with the std tower).

Regards
Ed

Just finished assemblying the Ms kit but I notice there is a big steering slop. Here are the causes I noticed:

STEERING ARMS & CARBON LINKAGE PLATE
According to the manual you have the option to use the BE1 spacer (3x1mm) in place of BE2 (3x0.7mm). With the BE1 you get alot of up/down movement but with a BE2 it was minimized but theres still a signifcant amount of movement.

STEERING ARMS & POST
With 3 pcs of BD6 (5x2mm) spacers there is still a considerable up and down movement.

Combine this two I get twice the amount of slop in my car. I went over the manual 3 more times just to double check my assemble but the problem still presist. I have built a fair number of kits from serpent/yokes/hpi/AE but this would be my first for any Tamiya kit so my question is:

Did you experienced this sort of problem?
Is this normal for the Ms kit?
Did you guys use spacers to set it right?

Thanks

on the steering rack i played with different spacers until it was slop free but did not bind, use the std tamiya spacers, as well as motor shims. on the steering posts add some axle shims to take up the extra play.

you wont get it all out, but i doubt anyone on these boards will notice the difference.

Hey Raul, any way you could take a pic of those towers stacked on eachother with the mounting holes for the bulkheads aligned, so we can actually see if theres a difference in shock height between the 2.
