uploading the race, stay tunes. might take two hours from now

Diff-abuser (Dan), have you left yet? Gimme a call when you can.
Why run 27 turn, when you can run a 6?

JasonC picked up my old MS, so he joined the crowd today as well

I should have 2 MS kits, 2 worlds upgrades, and a bundle of spare parts arriving wed or thurs next week, hopefully give me enough time to get ready for SoCal on Sat

good deal. if I didn't already have one I'd pick yours up, you take good care of your stuff.

Randy, I ran my car last saturday and it was loose. I never had so much steering with the 415. I wonder if I should 1) run a softer sway bar in the rear, 2) lower my roll center, 3) reduce droop. I already have 2.5 degree in the rear so I don't think rear toe is the answer. What do you think?

What body are you running? Will you be there next Sat?

You know you need to show. You missed the Charity Race now you got this one. C'mon Kil Ruf there will be serious competition. I just want to see Surge, SMC and Trinity drivers go at it in touring and 12th scale.

"Mid - Atlantic Carpet Clash" the only place to be on January 29, 2005

Yea, I was running the stock setup with the Tamiya Subaru body. I saw your post about the Mazda being more stable and I might try that. I will be there tomorrow and probably next Sat too.

I'll be up there next Sat. I have no experience with the Tamiya subaru, perhaps I can try yours for a run and see where it sits with the other bodies. I'm running the Yokomo Accord type E now.

My guess is I wont have my MS ready next Sat, but I'll be up there building a couple of em, and I'd be glad to help you tune your sedan for the day if you want the assistance. Try to get it a little closer to what you want by then, and I'll get it right for you from there. The only problem is, I ran the stock setup and it pushed like a bitch from my point of view, I drive my cars much looser than that, so it'll be interesting to try to get one to push more

First off, try adding a little more toe in, like .5 degrees at a time, that made a huge difference on my sedan. Try blue front springs as well.

Sometimes I find not enough front droop will cause a looseness. How about raising up the rear camber links in the inboard side? That'll tighten up the car as well. Belts too loose?

Isaac, that would depend if I go to the Snowbirds or not. I may go anyways. But I won't get there til Saturday morning since vacation time would be saved up for the 'Birds. I'd just hate to get there with only a few hours of setup time hehe. Got any setup tips?

Get Apex on this thread to help you. He'll be running mod with his 415. I haven't brought one yet. Plus if you have run on carpet before the set up probably will not be far off what you use now. Get some dbl pinks and dbl pink/orange and come on up.

Yeah, just started racing carpet with this car. I have my base setup posted a few pages back. Now I'm just working on fine tuning it as well as trying different things. I know of at least 2 local racers that will be goin. I may head up with another guy since he has to work on Friday as well. If not.. I'll catch ya up at the TCS in RCO if you head out to that one. I have about 3 or 4 racers heading up with me for that one. But I'll be running my EvoIV for TCS at RCO and for Maryland.
