Randy,

I think he just updated his webpage yesterday and I believe he got some more spools in.

youy will basically need a diff assy from the rear of the old MR4TC belt car, minus the pulley and diff balls. you will sub another pulley like the front, and 3mm balls. here is a list:

ZS-501 -- outdrive set
ZS-508 -- diff adjust set - has bolt, nut and spring
ZC-507 -- thrust bearing set - has ball bearings and washers
ZS-506 -- diff rings - can sub the Tamiya 414/5/TA04
plus 2 5x8 bearings for the center.

the Tamiya # for the pulley is 51055, i think? plus the reg 3mm balls.

on the MS, you may have trouble with the cvds, as my car with the reg suspension, i use the 46mm drives from the LW set. maybe the 48mm bones from the F201? havent tried that yet. hope that helps!!!

Default 415MS questions

Going to get a 415ms to go along with my 415, yokomo cgm and sdwc but i need to know a few things about the 415 first:-

A. Does the 415ms use the standard 415 blocks on the back or the +1mm ones.

B. Does it have A blocks all round?

C. When is the hopup set coming out for it and what does it include?

Thanks
Rick

straight from Tamiya.com (finally in english)

here's the 'worlds' part kit.. still missing the spool! How hard can it for Tamiya to make a diff or a spool for this thing? I'm running the Yok diff up front, but would be nice to have a REAL Tamiya front diff/spool.

TRF415MS World Champion Parts Set *Limited release

This set contains the same high quality Tamiya option parts that Marc Reinhard used to soup up his TRF415MS chassis, enabling him to race to victory at the 2004 IFMAR ISTC World Championships. Set includes four kinds of suspension mounts, permitting even narrower installation of suspension arms, a set of 0 degree toe-in aluminum rear uprights, and a direct center pulley to improve throttle response. Take advantage of this kit to unlock your machine's hidden potential, and achieve champion racing results

A little bit more info to add to is that, insider information informed us that there will Not be a TRF415 Marc Reinhard edition car kit (they said it would simply be too expensive) which is why they offer this World Champion Parts Set.

Hmm, so my MS kit is missing out on a few things. I'd like the alloy hub carriers, anyone know a part # for em?

Looks like make still prefers the old suspension on his 415 indoors. Here is a pic off the carpetworlds site. Rick

Looking closer, looks like hes also using the Delrin rear diff halves, Alu driveshafts on the front, Alu rear hubs, and dual oneways
Also, looks like he's using a carbon reinforcing plate on the spur.

Anyone know what chassis he used? 2.5 or 3mm? cause unlike most other times with the car, it looks like he was running with the chassis braces.

Anyway. I had a fairly succesful day at the BIWS, ended up 27th O/a in stock, car handled awesome, using the old suspension for about the third time since getting the car. Felt very good, although I decided to stick with the onew-ways, rather than change to a spool, which probably would have been faster (hairpin at the end of the straight...) ahh well, at least this week I didn't break anything...

Regards
Ed

I cant wait to get mine out on the track Tuesday, waiting on my locked center pulley, prs gears and VFS-1 esc to arrive, hopefully all tomorrow.

I did order the delrin outdrives for the rear of the car, hopefully they will last for a long time and remain smooth like I'm wanting.

Is anyone using different swaybar mounts on the bulkheads, with a little less play than the stock ones?

The delrin outdrives on my EVO 3 SL didn't last too long..... You run hotter motors than I do too. Maybe they changed the material a bit though.
