I've noticed that in the pictures, the 415 has got in the region of 45g in weight added...

Thats pretty good for a Tamiya (even allowing for all the top-spec factory bits and pieces).

The only gripe I have is the motor hanging over the edge of the chassis... Still, I would love to get my hands on one!

Especially before Christmas...

This is one car Tamiya are not going to get any money out of me for

At 59800 Yen, as quoted by Rainbow Ten, (546USD!!!), they have got to be joking.......

I'll stick with my Surikarn Limited thank you very much Mr Tamiya..

After all it is just a belt driven Evo III....

Just my opinion....

59800y is what R10 charge...they do not discount any of their parts and charge the full recommended retail price.

You would be off waiting or buying from another retailer that will discount the kit.

Guys,

You guys really should wait...unless you have $500 just laying around or burning a hole in your pocket

My estimates is that it should be waaay less than $500 by the time it is widely available and through the US distributors (I'm assuming they will be released here in the US as well). But if you can't wait the extra 2-3 weeks after its release...then that high price tag is what you would have to pay

I'll keep you guys posted with information from Tamiya USA. We should get more details now that the Tamiya World Championship is over (which the TRF415 was on display to get the general public's response of the car)

I believe USD450 would be the average street price around the world right after they release it.

Blimey! If its going to cost that much in US Dollars, what's it going to cost in British Pounds (bearing in mind that models are usually less in Dollars than in Pounds!)

We're going to get NAILED...

Hey guy's...Steve is right about the pricing. Do we not remember that just about every high end Tamiya car looks awfully pricey BEFORE it gets to the states!!!?? Calm down, wait a bit and I'll bet the price isn't to far from what the EvoS is. Has anybody seen what Tower or Horizon shows as the retail for an EvoS?? Remember that some of these companies are distributors AND retailers( not a good thing in my estimation). They inflate the retail so the dealer cost will be higher. Tower and Horizon are NOT our friends !!!! Do yourselves a favor and wait till somebody like Speedtech has them available.

You guys have such a large customer base that you can command decent prices (vote with your feet) and I have seen huge differences in prices as to recommended and 'street' price.

Hey! By next Christmas (maybe even Easter) they'll be dirt cheap owing to the immenent release of the 415 Evo 16!

Guess what, you could have bought a 415 at the Tamiya Fair but guess what? It was something like 254,000 Yen...needless to say, nobody bought it. Woops.
