Instead of the 3 racing parts, you can also use the white tamiya gear diff as well combined wiht the 501x/416 18T center pulleys.

By using the 18T pulleay the belt are exactly runned in the middle of the excenter mark. -> Perfect fit!

Greetings Rainer
Thanks for the extra info on the belt. I will update my blog with that info.

The Sakura pulleys are exactly the same width as the tamiya 18t pulleys so they also allow the belts to be perfectly central.

Btw I did a couple of test heats and the car went pretty good, although I need to sort out the dampers etc to match my current foam set-up.

Otherwise, use a spool IMO

If you have the 36T pulley on the front you are best to replace it with the 37T spool pulley. Then you can use the following Gear diffs

Tamiya V2 for TRF416/7
Spec-R TRF416/7 diff
3Racing Sakura zero Gear diff

The above will fit the TRF415. The 3Racing one is really cheap (And its working really well).

A spare 37t front pulley is cheap as well.

Here is a link to my guide, if you dont change the centre pulleys you can use your original belts

internal ratio is pulley teeth / centre pulley teeth

eg 37/18= 2.05:1 is your internal ratio

you can still use your silver can

there is a website called gearchart.com

put in your internal ratio, spur and pinion and it will give your FDR

or spur/pinion = z then x this by your internal ration (2.05:1) and you get your FDR

eg:

internal ratio 2.05:1

spur 60
pinion 40

60/40= 1.5

1.5 x 2.05 = 3.075

3.075 is FDR

You can use the original belts if you just use the 37t rear and 37t front pulleys and leave the centre pulleys as 16t

Do 417x belts fit the trf 415 MRE equipped with 37T front spool and 37T rear diff? How about after changing the mid pulleys to 18T/19T?

Hello:
It is compatible the "Spec-R gear differential set (For Tamiya TA-05 V2/V2-R/IFS-R 37T)" in the front diff for the 415msxx.

thank you

I sent you a PM, but to be clear the TA05 gear diff will not work in the front (or rear) of the 415
