Non at all. It's actually really easy to put the battery in. Getting it out is more tricky. I put a bit of white grease on the case before removing the battery to make it easier.

I don't know if this is covered, but I found that the MSX-MRE comes with 7 "standard" ball-nuts (BC2), and 2 "short" ball-nuts (BB9). Yet the instructions make no mention of where the two "short" BB9 ball-nuts go.

I've read through the MSX-MRE addendum, it clearly shows the install of 8 of the standard length BC2 ones which is already 1 more than what's included. The 9th ball-nut would be for the servo saver, but that still leaves us with the question....

....WHERE EXACTLY DO THE TWO BB9's GO?

MSX-MRE manual for reference:

The BB9's go on the steering rack. There should be a small addendum sheet in the box detailing this change. Everything else is as per the instructions.

That would have been my guess. Thanks for the info. I bought the car used, so it didn't come with any papers...

Hey, secretsg. It Works !!!

I fited the lipo in with no problem at all, and I balanced it on 4 point scales.

check it out the gross weight O_0 !! Will give those xrays some hard time.

I finished it just before heading toward the Tamiya American Raceway today, but I couldn't find where the track is located(bump!).

i got a noob question on the 415. can you swap 415msx/msxx/mre bulkheads with a normal 415 bulkhead? cause it's easier to change pulleys with the new bulkheads

Yes you canm but you will need new top deck, new shock towers, all the parts that fit on the top deck, etc... Might just be easier to get a second hand MSX type car...

I don't think you can do so unless you switch over the complete 415msx updeck or more.

the rear bulkheads is a whole set with motor mount on 415msx/msxx, not cheap neither!
