Hi Guys,
I was told the 415MSXX was discontinued by Tamiya. Does anyone know how true of a statement this is?

No way Jose

Just checked TamiyaUSA and doesn't say anything. I will ask Fred tomorrow unless you will be out there as well.

My question (even though i thought I knew) is there any real differences between the MSX, MRE, and MSXX? If I was going to buy one today and could find one of each, what should I buy?

I think the MRE is the best bang for the buck.

basically, the MSXX is the poor man's MRE, even though i think the MRE is a little cheaper! The MRE came with titanium screws, but didn't come with the air scoop (which can be bought separately).

If you can find the MRE, i'd buy that one!

Realize this question might be a bit premature, but if/when Tamiya announces the successor to the TRF415 series (TRF416?), think blue will remain the color of choice for the anodized parts? I think if I had to guess, I would say yes, as the blue definitely looks great. That said, it would also be cool to see something new color-wise, like maybe a series of cars with green anodized parts.

Noticed talk of orange anodized parts rumored to be included with the new Serpent TC. Wild.

They allready had red tools and a red car : TB EVO III Surikarn Edition....
I doubt very much whether they'll change from their wellknown blue into another color....

totally forgot about that.... maybe it is because noone can say the name???

but seriously I like the light blue alot. it is easy on the eyes. no ugly purple stuff atleast...

I prefer polished aluminium but I would live with blue rather than driving an xray

BLUE is and RED is but BLUE is like the trademark of TRF machines of TAMIYA... So I doubt they are going to change the color into something rather than and ... hehehe...

Figure we may have to wait until Christmas before we can expect release of a TRF416, right? Anyone have inside information?

Heard rumours from a good source that the 416 design work and testing is on hold until after the offroad worlds

Then we can expect a whole new series of TRF racers from Tamiya!! I confess, I'm an addict.
