If they worked on my TC3 are they likely to work on the MSX or is it not that simple (different cars need different weight springs etc...)

As for the rest of the car, do I start with similar settings to my TC3? (camber toe-in etc...)

Sorry for the newbie questions! Despite racing for many years I clearly don't have a clue how to set up cars!
I would keep the spool in there for club racing. A front diff would be useless, front diffs nowadays are only used with foam on carpet. A one way will be a bit difficult to drive as it's quite tight and you are not used to a one way. It also allows you to brake which can be useful for club racing.

im not tryhard.. but yellow springs all around with yellow sway up front and a red sway in the rear is a good starting point.

or you can do blue/yellow springs with the yellow/red sway bars.

Here is a pic of my car (I'm expecting to receive it in a couple of days)

I'm guessing the blue braces are the 'blocks' you're talking about.

As for a front one way, would it have to be a Tamiya one or do others fit? Whats the difference between a one way and a solid axel?
Yup thoose blue braces are the blocks I'm talking about. When you get the car it'll be easy to figure out looks like you've got a range with the car, which is good

If you do want to run the car straight away, leave the spool in as TRF415Boy suggested.

Reedy was nothing compared to Rod's driving yesterday at Tamiya. Nothing like seeing guys like David Jun, Corey Lewis, and Rod Canare swap out the 19t and brushless to race something even more challenging.......mabuchi motors!!!!!!

It was the coolest race I have seen in a while, and wish I had a camera with me yesterday. They could beat and bang and not slow the cars down one bit.
