Anyone find any belt for the MR? I only have the msx ones and the teeth are a bit wider, so when new its a little tight but goes away after like a run. I just wish I could find a place that sells MR stuff.

Looks to be like a gear differential, or he could just be using the cover....

Talking Hello Everyone...

Well I have been watching and reading the forums for ages but I never got around to write. So my apologies

Anyways, I finally sold my race cars (FK05, Sigma2 and Evo5) and ordered myself a MRE from Champ. I bought the EVO5 when I visited them a month ago, but I had a lot of requests so I sold it. While at it I got myself Square knuckles as well and some spare belts just in case.

So right now I am waiting for it to arrive (very impaitantly albeit). At our local track we changed the surface of the track so I really dont know what will happen with the MRE. The surface has very high traction. We will see.

Any points I should be aware of before I dig in???

Thank you ... I send pics when I finish the car....

Serdar

I found the 42mm stearing links to be weak and the axles on this model are aluminum"bend very easy",,,besides that pay special attention to the shimming with the akerman. good luck its a great car

Hi Stock Spur gear is 102T which is close to 64 pitch..

As I learned on hear the Internal ratio is 36/16= 2.25

If you are interested I have a Mint condition MRE on SALE..

Thanks CRiXman.

So the stock MRX spur is not 64pitch? If yes then I need to change it to Kawada 64pitch spur

Its not exactly 64 pitch, but it would work fine with a 64 pitch pinion gear, but won't be a perfect match.

I don't know Kawada, but I get a set of Xeon racing precision spur/pinion gears..

But i the beinging you could just use a normal 64 pitch pinion gear..
