I'll say start with a ratio of 8.5,which can be done using 102/27. Then if you're not happy with the top speed, you can either go up on the pinon or go lower on the spur.
Thanks for the help!

Mario I spoke to you, I was the one that took the Order. Doug was in the background calling the race.
But on Another Note, The kit is on it's way Doug was getting it ready to go when I spoke to him this afternoon.

How about the F1 race?? Was that worth staying up for or what?

Oh well.Been trying to recuperate since. How was the 24 hour race/results?Cool idea.Going to try to get one going at my local track.Sounds like lots of fun. Were you guys running TC's or something like mini coopers?Hopefully the guys/track owner will go for it.Again thanks for this,Mario.

As for the race there was a great chase in the last 2 hours.
As for the cars, 1/10 scale was the requirement, there were 2 pan cars, and 6 sedans.

Whats the internal ratio of the MRE ?

Whats biggest spur you can fit in 64dpi ?

I have just looked through my manual and found MSX ratio but not MRE , just trying to sort out what size spurs i need to get.

Thanks in advance.

MRE comes with B/A for the front, and XB/D for the rear... You'll need an extra D block, and a D-Bridge block, and thats it for the IIC setup (D/D-bridge front, B/D rear)

I think about 108/110 is the largest with the layshaft in the low position... not sure about it in the high, would guess around 120??

Internal ratio is 2.25 for the MRE I beleive.

Just got a brand new 415MSX MRE. I'm building the rear diff. I see there is a spacer bewteen 2 bearings. But I couldn't find it anywhere in the kit. Is that the spacer is in the shims package which has a lot blue and silver shims? I found one metal shim in that pakcage but the size is not 5x0.5mm but it fits in the rear diff. Is this the correct one or it is in other pakcage? Is it a metal shim or plastic? Thanks!

The MRE edition comes with an MRE specific manual that contains replacement steps to the original manual. Make sure you are following the step in the MRE edition and not the original manual if there was a replacement step for it.

The shim your looking for is the same as the 4 used in the steering posts (going above and below the bell cranks). There should be 5 in total with the kit, check that bag if you can't find it.
