Tamiya TRF415
The MRE will get you 99% of what the team drivers are running all in one box. For the price and the level of hardware you get in the kit, it should be a no brainer
That 1% is top sercet
The MRE comes with ti screws a new spool, new steering, drivetrain, the layshaft is like a one peice with no pins, you can lower/rasie the layshaft(for bigger spurs i think) Theres so amny things that this car has for you to play with and for the price, you should not even have to question.

Hey all. Did you notice how underweight new MRE is. I bolt in my Futaba 9550 servo, Futaba mini receiver, Hara 2.1 and ib3600 battery and PF Stratus3 body with rubbertires and i have to add +120 g weights

Question I have where can I get all of the suspension parts for the MSX- MSX-MRE I do not care if it is around the world I just want to find one place to buy from where they might have all I need in stock.
And or maybe the part #'s
So if someone can list some links that would be cool.

where I race they do not check weight but for big races I use HPI # 75165 and I drill holes in it for our MLP car ~ I am not sure if it will help you out ok.
I have cut out the underside of my bumper and put 50grms in there. I also have 10grms underneath each of the steering racks ( 1 each side). I am running 4200's which I guess are slightly heavier as I have put 10grms each side at the back. I am also running rubber tyres so this may also be different.

well i had a bit of a shocker. In the only dry run the grub screw of my pinion went through the thread so i qualified on my dry-ish run on wet tyres, C final that's my worst result ever at 19T nationals
So I decided i'd win the finals, but 5 laps into the first final my Ti spool miserably lost one of its pins (which aren't supposed to get out at all may I had) and I just couldn't be bothered taking another spool out for the secnd final so i didn't bother

Hello,
this is my one:
Just built in the steering plate from Squat-Precision.
My car is also equipped with the Gold-Racing Bearings from Squat.

sakaguchinet,
What kind of diff pulley are you running in the back. It looks like the white plastic sides are like dust covers kinda like the Xray cars have.

For the rest of the weight, I try and keep it as low as possible (ie no stacking of weights), and as close to the centreline as possible (I have about 20g underneath the front belt, just in front of the T brace, second pic).
If I can't get it on the centre line, I'll have one piece either side (Final pic).
(N/B. bear in mid, the pics are from today, so the car had a bit of waterproofing (look at the reciver ) and I didn't have my proper servo in, so there is a bit less weight on the car... oh and theres 5g thats ment to be infront of the servo... it fell off)
