Default iP3800 35C+ LiPo Race Pack

Has anyone tried these? I haven't seen any info posted about them. NeXus Racing has them. It says "Trinity is proud to announce the release of their all new 3800mah 35C+ Lipo", title has Intellect as the maker of them.

I have the ip3800 and it has great power. However you must know that the bottom of the back has the dimples to match where the NIMH usually sit... I did not know this until after the pack arrived.. So it really does not sit great in my '008.

I had a bullet connect come loose inside the pack so I don't think I will be going that route again. Anyone have any idea on how to fix this without destroying the case?

I have had this happen to two of my packs...

Simple fix.

The case is only two-sided taped to the battery itself. Just pull really hard on each side of the case, it takes some doing but it will come apart.

Once you get the two sides apart then just re-solder the plug back to the circuit board.

Put new tape on each side of the case and good as new.

I ran one i my cyclone last week and that pack has hellacious punch compared to the older Trinity and Losi lipos that I've been running. It's also alot thinner. It cleared the top deck in my car by a good 2-3mm.

I had the same problem with all my intellect 3800 packs so i decide to get rid of these bullet connectors , i soldered two 12AWG cables coming out from the pack and now everything is fine.I have never seen such a bad soldering job and worst bullet connectors. I didn't care about destroying the hard case because it melted too when the bullet came loose inside the pack.

I am using 3800 35C. The punch is great! Mine comes with deans and its thickness is less than 21mm. Casing quality feels solid too.

Hello,

I see many people using these packs with low turn brushless, 4.0, 4.5 etc. Are these able to actually make runtime with these motors on large tracks with only a 3800?. when we were running nimh, we were using 4200, 4600 sub c's. Yet i see many guys using these in modified at nationals, can anyone give any insight?. People would easily dump a 4200mah nimh.

Thanks Ya`All

6-6.30 mins runtime very easy with a 7700kv motor.

I have 2 Thunder Power lipos, and three IP's 5000 30 c packs. The Thunder Power has a little more zip to me. The IP's are good for what you pay for them $30.00 less. John Tag, Brad Johnson does well with these cells at big races. That might not mean much but they are a good lipo.
