Default LRP ESC Question.. Answers FAST

I have an older LRP ESC.
It is the LRP IPC Digital. Just wondering if thatcan do lipos or not. And does it have a voltage cut off?

They can all do lipos. I have no idea about a cut off. Cutoffs are overrated if the car slows down a lot stop running it.

KHoff is right in that all escs handle lipo. He is, however, wrong when he says cutoffs are over rated. Get yourself a novak cutoff. They are cheap and very effective. Dont risk stuffing up a good battery just to save $10.00 or so.

The 4 To 7 cell is talking about nimh and nicad cells. You should be able to run 2 cell lipo on it.

In this case I might just have to agree with you.

I have the same ESC. I bought a NOVAK cut-off and am running a 2S LiPo just fine without overheating or any issues.

You are fine, my good man, absolutely fine. I am running a 15T motor with my ESC and a 11.1v LiPo, in my Rustler VXL. I was bored and decided to play around with my old gear. I'll go back to the VXL system once I can burn out this LRP ESC. But this thing takes a beating and keeps going. Absolutely great quality!

Enjoy!

I am not the best of drivers and I can even notice the slight voltage decrease when running a smart stop
