Aluma nice looking car. Like the front links on the suspension. Nice job on them.

I also like the motor. I raced for Lightspeed for years in the late 80's and early 90's. Mark has some of the best motors that I have ever run. I had a few other motor companies look at my mods from Mark and they all said the same thing, He winds a great looking armature and they all said he was one of the best around. I just called him a few weeks ago to talk with him.

i like the motor, but it needs a rebuild already....its soo slow.
Weird thing though, the comm is barely grooved. I remember my Matrix MVP was halfway through the comm in as many runs as this P2K, but that MVP never slowed down.

nope, just the ones it came with.... the racing carrier set fits right in. I tried the 414 rear hubs, but the have to be cut basically in half to fit, and after you do that, it still wont fit right because the universals are too long and you could only use one bearing on the shaft to give it the right clearance....for the rear just get the evo 2 setting blocks...

I know that the 414 and Evo hubs are interchangeable. I was just curious what arms you were using because, I've seen mods online that include changing all Evo arms and hubs to 414 spec.

Default worth upgrading to evo 2

hi all,
i've currently got a ta-04r... which i bought 2nd hand. (first remote control car on-road)
and seem to be having lots of problem with the diff.
Anyway i'm thinking of buying a new car.. and the evo 2 sounds pretty good, lots of support of parts in Austrlaia
and thinking of making the move to an evo 2.
but do you think its worth it.. has anyone made the move?
And how did they feel about it?

well, i cant speak for others, but I LOVE my evo2. once you get the right droop combination its a blast to drive. Its a solid chassis...heavy, and very twitchy about the right setup...but very rewarding once dialed in. I've crashed many times and only broken on plastic part in almost one year of racing it. Its tough! Just be sure to buy titanium turnbuckles for better adjustability on camber, toe in, etc... cant wait for that new evo3 though...
Merry Xmas to ME, Merry Xmas to ME!
