THe EVO2 is alot stiffer from left to right. THe EVO1 is very easy to tweak. I have the EVO2 and raced it again tonight and destroyed them tonight. WIth my new Stratus on I went 4 seconds faster and lapped everyone in the main. THe car is on rails and has been a great car for me. I like the car because when I do little adjustments on the car they actually do something.

I see EVO2's on EBAY brand new in the box for $263. That is a great price. I tempted to get a 2nd one for a spare even though it has not broke at all.

I think the main thing different is with the EvoII you can change your gearing with not much cursing!
other than that I believe the suspension set up are a little different according to a mag review over here.

I purchased some Ta04 universals for my TB01 with long suspension arms kit and ran into a problem. The hubs on the LSA kit take 6x12mm bearings but, the Ta04 universals are for 5x11mm bearings and needlesss to say, it's too loose. If 5x12 mm bearings existed, this wouldnt be a problem. On the pack it says for Ta04, 414 and TB Evo 2 but, the LSA kit is Evo arms and hubs etc. What's wrong? Are TB Evo 1 and 2 hubs sizes different?

well, it kinda depends on what kinda spur you are running... if you are running a 88t, changing the spur doesn't make any different from the EvoI... if you are using 72T... hella easier!!

I think it is easier to adjust the motor. Spur gear removal is about the same. It don't take too long to do. Takes me 5 minutes or less to change the spur if I need to. Never needed to change from the stock 88 yet as it has not stipped at all. Take a little time meshing it and it is fine. Hitting the walls don't help the spurs too much either.

Does Tamiya or any other company make alum. rear hub carriers and alum. front caster blocks that fit the EVO2. I don't have any problems with my stock ones but it would be trick to have.
Would TA04 ones possible fit or maybe ones for the 414M2.
