hardcase lipo battery with bullet style connector plug-in makes wiring much cleaner.

Quick question on the servo, transponder, and receiver wires. Is there a way to get heat shrink on the wires without removing the plug? Can you cut the heatshrink and fold it over itself to make it work? Or is twisting them the easiest thing to do?

get some dental floss. make a slip not, and butt it thru where the wires split apart to go into the plugs. gravity feed the floss thru, push the plug in to start it off, and pull it thru.

To get it over the connector the Heat shrink would be too big to shrink enough to be tight on the wires. For receivers I have just removed the pins from the connector by pressing lightly on the tab that hold them in and once out you can get a heat shrink tube that is the right size over it . then insert the ends back into the connector and then shrink the tube.

Thanks, I never thought about that. I have a crimping tool that I can use to make the wires as short as I want but I suck at doing it so your method will be much better.

Yes, get some 16g wire and avoid tie bundling your motor wires. It creates a bigger wire that can easily tweak the motor pod movement. 13.5 & 17.5 is easily supported by 16g. Then you will be able to go back to the gold or red spring.

i just noticed that it looks like i have all three of the wires tie wrapped together, its just the sensor wire held to one wire to keep it out of the tire. yes i just ordered some 16g. Thanks for the advice.

You know, why do they have ESC and motor solder posts soooo close together nowadays? Getting back in to RC after just bashing for a while makes me cringe when I see solderings so close to each other... I like Speed Passion's where the solder posts are far apart from each other!
