So do people solder their gear while it is installed it order to get these precise layouts? I always do mine out of the car and then install which results in jank.

I install the wires onto the ESC leaving extra length. Install the ESC/Motor into the car, then cut the wires to length. Remove everything then solder it together. Cutting servo wires to length I install the Rx, install the servo/esc, cut the wires to length, remove them to put the new ends on the wires then reinstall.

Beautiful pictures. Have to say though, I'm scared to death to shorten servo or ESC leads. I know I can repin them, just bugs the hell out of me that the two, normally pricey, pieces of electronics will be permanently part of whatever car it is in. Guess it really wouldn't matter at that point would it... Lol

I think these are my best so far, Kyosho RB6.6, ZX5 FS2, RT6. The ZX5 has since had a Savx LP servo installed to fix the odd angle on the steering link.
