My HARD bags have been fantastic, but the 1/10 bag is a little smaller than I'd like. I wish they'd make one in that trim/quality in the 1/8 size.

Has anyone ever thought of just using a big stickered up suitcase? lol.

Handle, check. Wheels check.... most have a hard back to them too inside, so it is durable.

I have been using the large rolling duffle bags with Plano boxes inside for years. OK let me say that I have had 4 of those and each had either broken, zipper failure or worn out. At $50 each I thought I was ahead of the game since they covered about eight years of racing.

I just wonder how long my T-10 will last? The good news is that it is so much more convenient to use than the duffles.

Default Baggage Traveling woes.

I think its less of a quality issue and more of baggage handler issue. I bought a new semi-hard suit case just for Cleveland this year, it barely made the flight down, only one wheel broken off, and the cardboard boxes I had placed inside where all weakened considerably, I'd swear those guys practice kung-foo on this stuff before it hits the carosel. It also doesn't help that now with all the security, your baggage gets handled 2 to 3 times more than it used to.

I still have one of those aluminum equipment cases with foam liner, I don't think it would even make a longer flight anymore, those guys are just brutal.

If you want the ultimate in airline worthy containers, look into Pelican cases. Crazy expensive, but well worth it. Complete lifetime guarantee. If you break it, they replace it. Check out the 1630 Transport case. About $250
