The fastest r/c car out right now is the Fisher Price racer...you can get it at Toy's R Us or maybe K-Mart. It goes about 45 mph stock. I'm j/p, there is no fastest r/c car, it's wut you put in the car that makes it fast and it's all about the driver to maintain the car and to control it.

There is an RC10L that did 114 MPH, not sure of the web site but I thought I saw it at www.rc10.com but can't find it now.

Thats right. The RC10L set the Guinness World Record, and there should be a pic of it on this site under the Hobby Show coverage.

Even though that car did go over 110 mph doesn't mean it's the fastest car. The people who just did it wuz AE and they were asked by Guiness if they can break the old record. It also went that fast because they put like mad cells in their and all the other stuff. I think they chose that car b/c it can take the fast speeds.

What's gone faster?
Drag cars are up there, but I think 114mph is pretty much the fastest to date...

The ae RC10L car ran around Irwindale speedway at 114mph, ae also had the 96.4mph TC3 there as well.

With 24cells on the RC10L car(I forget if it was an oval car originally, or an L3 or something like that), and a 2t brushless motor, no wonder the car flew!

The TC3 was running 14cells, with a REEDY hand wound 12t(I can not remember if that was for the offical run that they did, sounds a little high for 96+mph though...)

Those Schumacher fusion cars can go 70 mph out of the box. Haven't seen one run but all the testing on them prove it. That's pretty damn fast for me.

It was claimed that the fusion21 could go 80mph, but that was with only calculated, and not tested. There are many factors into making a Nitro car go fast than just raw power. There is a lot to do with aerodynamics, servo throw, ride height, tempature, evalation, and more factors to do with Nitro cars. Don't get me wrong or anything, 70mph stock is FAST, I was just remembering how in some magazines and on the net there were claims that the car could do 80mph stock. It mostlikley still can, you would just need to tune the engine for the elavation, temp, and the other important factors for all out speed.

A past RC Car had an article about a guy that hand built cars for speed runs. They were just like the ones they run on the salt flats. I don't remeber the specifics but it was faster than the AE cars.
