brushed vs brushless whats the advantage?
ok i currently run stock tc and i use a brushed motor i was thinking of running brushless because i have the esc just not a motor (going to buy one this week) ok first off when switching from brushed to brushless was it hard to get used to ?? also what about geraing i will be running a 17.5 motor in a jrxs any help is greatfull thanks cody

Brushless have more efficiency, more power, less maintenance...
There are thousands of threads about this. If you have the ESC to do it, definitely look into getting a brushless motor. If I were you, search on google for Brushless-vs. Brushed, but the decision should be a no brainer. Also you can search even on this forum for the gearing setup you have. Trust me... it's all there... |
If you are running a jrxs you would want to start out running a 110 spur and a 53 or 54 pinion.

You're going to have to gear for your track. If your track isn't that big then start your gearing around a 4.0 fdr. Then go up or down if needed. With brushless you will need to watch your temps. Search around on this forum and read up on brushless motors, temps and gearing.
any suggestions on where i should start with gearing?? |

Ok, I have to ask the time honored question. Have you asked the "fast guys" what they are running in final drive/rollout ratios?
