Like sturla said the spy is a good esc I run one in my stock micro setup...But I have found that i like the LRP Quntam sport better. The differences Ive noticed the spy doesent have the best brakes and not quite as much punch as the LRP...So if your gonna run anything above a stock setup i would say go with the LRP esp if you have ran 1/10 scale before...Also about the GM-V4 I dont know alot about it but some of the guys on the micro forums run them and love it.

There are currently specials to be had on the SX-9 if you like the GM ESC's...

Check around and you might be surprised...I just picked one up for $125 cdn....around the same price or only very slightly more than a Spy or an Orion Flash!

is the micro your first car? i suggest that you get an esc that is also suitable for 1/10 scale just in case you want go into 1/10. the quantums are small enough for the micro yet you can use them for 1/10 racing

i used to run a V4 in my micro, didn't have any problem with it`
just change the wires for thinner ones, give up tamiya plug for Dean's or mini PK and make directly sold it to the motor.
