Lol, I just asked the same question on another forum.
After a bunch of research, I bought a Hacker E40 from Stormer Hobbies.

I predict by the end of this thread every 17.5 brushless motor on the market will be said to be "the best"

I was leaning toward the Hacker, I talked to Josh Cyrul at a race in Toronto recently and he really liked them. I'm running a Novak for the My 13.5, thought I'd go a different route for the 17.5

And I predict that Matt's prediction will hold true... So, I will add the Orion 17.5 Series 2 to the list.

Isn't the Losi the same as the Hacker?

I was running a Novak 17.5 in stock TC at this year's ROAR asphalt nats and noticed during practice that I was getting motored bad by other 17.5's. All the buzz in the pits was about how Hacker was the motor to have, so I bought one, teched it in, put it in my car, and believe it or not, as sure as I am sitting here, it had so much more rip than the Novak that I actually had to readjust my driving style/breaking points,etc....... In addition to the AWESOME performance, the Hacker team drivers at the race, Kyle Bergstrom and Jason Ertrachter were very polite and helpful. I just got a great impression of Hacker all around. I have not bought a motor since that was not a Hacker, and don't plan to anytime soon. My Hacker collection is growing!!!
