Default new and totally confused about AE carpet cars

what AE car is good for on road carpet road race track not oval? ive never raced on road and whats the difference between an rc10l4 and an r4. kinda want to go with a rc10l3 because the cheaper the better to try it out.
i dont want a touring car.

The 10L3t was a On-Road 1/10th scale pan car, it's been discontinued for a few years, and is fairly hard to find, but not a bad car.

The 10L4 is a Oval Car, as is the 10L3 (w/o the t)

The New Team Associated 1/10th Pan Car for On-Road racing I believe is called the 10R5

Associated 10R5 web site

If 1/12th scale is what you are after I do believe there was both a 12L3 and a 12L4 1/12th On-Road versions.

2001-2012 - South-West Tour R/C Oval Series...will the SWT be revived?
Things are headed towards a return of the SWT Series, but for
2017 the focus will be on the Encino Velodrome (and dirt oval racing)

Hi mate, there's a couple of classes for you to run in with your choices. First up, is 1/12th, which runs for 8 minutes. The latest AE car is the 12R, although the car before that, the 12L4, is still a great car. The other class is a 'narrow' pro 10 class, which is what the 10R car is for. I think these only race for 5 minutes. Both classes use 4 cell packs at the mo. Go along to your local club and talk to people there about what they are racing, both are great classes, but for me, 1/12th is best (I have races 1/12th for over 20 years!!). Cheers mate, Chris.
