Hi there, I just recieved the Pt from AE in 9x2 and 10x2 winds, I have taken it apart, looks pretty nice. The thing is the laydown/large com on the Kr, made up for the low torque on the Kr, so the standup/standard com on the Pt, is going to make for a high-end motor, I have been running a Kr 10x1 and runs great all around, (track: 115x65). The ti is a great motor still, but just takes a bit of dyno tuning. I am going to be running the Pts, this weekend, so I will be able to give a better report on them then.

The Pt is designed as a 4-cell motor. There isnt a lot of info out ther about how it runs in 6-cell touring. The best motor out there right now for TC is the Reedy Krypton, its stronger than the Ti, but designed for 6-cell use.

What car wil you be running it in? TC, 1/12, or oval?

At this years Touring Euros fastest Reedy motors clearly were the TIīs.
KRīs had to be geared down for lasting 5 minutes at that large track and were slower. But this was for the 12turn limit. Donīt know for lower winds as they arenīt allowed here. They also had some PTīs for testing.

Well figure i would chime in here on a few things.. First off The Pt motor is a small com standup brush alittle diff can then the KR and the main application would be 4-cells or something that is not over abusive on the motors.. That is where the KR comes into play.

I have Run the PT in 1/12th 4-cell and they are going to be very good.. Remember new stuff takes time to figure out . But what i have been playing with my KR and PT motors is i do not need nearly the timing i did with the TI . I get better results then the TI's across the board when i do this .. I am currently at about 8-12 degrees.. Anymore then that seems to be too much. Now this is on Carpet with touring and 1/12th.. Right now i am running a 8X2 double geared 28-100 with 10 degree's timing.. This is on a track that is producing about 9.5 sec laps ..

Hope this helps

Mike what kind of rollout would you run with a PT in 4 cell mod 12th? say a 9D on a similar size track about 10.2 second laps tight track
thanks
