If you want to give up on that chassis, you can sell it and buy my Penguin semi-custom Lipo chassis. It's super narrow like a 416 so the edges don't drag and can mount any type of battery with the included hardware. Only a few were made, but Penguin promised full support from them. PM me if you have questions or want details...

+1, providing it feels smooth when you push the car, you should be fine.

Can you try spinning the spur gear without the belts on?

If it feels tight, something is binding up, if not, you're good to go...:tire:

Have you tried fitting lipo on your chassis? or any 3racing owner tried fitting lipo?

crap, can't even be modded?

macscac 01-14-2009 10:10 AM

yes...
easiest way im going to try is like i have pictured.
you could dremel off just a small area off the top deck

the batt has to face that way thought because there is not enough top deck on the other side to dremel off. its much skinnier

when you use lipo, doesn't the battery rub against this screw & spacer in red circle?
