I prefer the regular black cases. Gives them an industrial look that fits well with the raw aluminum/steel on my Xray.

I have over 30 runs on my first 5200-40c and can't tell the difference between that one and my brand new 5200-40c. If it wasn't for the scratch on the older pack I wouldn't be able to tell them apart. They both feel solid through the full 6 minute runs. (13.5 TC)

Can anyone explain to me the reason behind the "C" rating on a lipo battery? I assume that the higher the rating (28c to 40c)the more punch? Can you actually feel the difference between the two? Thanks

The mold is finally done for the new cases and we should have the case in 10 days or so. This means the 4700/40C+ pack should be in by the 3rd week of March. The height will be 22mm so this will be a good pack for those who have low topdecks.

We have been shipping the 5200/40C to distributors so check the normal places that carry SMC they should have them.

We have a new shipment due in late next week and we expect supply to get better in the coming weeks.

There need to be a way to determine the performance of a cell/pack. C rate and mAh determines the performance.

Typically higher C rate packs should mean that the cells will not drop as much under higher loads due to lower IR. You should only compare C rates to the same brand of packs as there is no official standard for C rate that maufacturers have to use. One companies 25C might be as good as another companies 35C. The materials used and the way the chemicals were blended will also have an effect on the performance.

Does mAh has an effect on punchyness of the battery?
Say, is Thunderpower 3200 mAh/40C punchier than Trinity 5200 mAh/35C?

I own both and on a Novak GTB/Novak 17.5, I don't feel there is a difference between the two except the weight.
