I own both and on a Novak GTB/Novak 17.5, I don't feel there is a difference between the two except the weight.
As long as they can handle the current draw, and keep the voltage similar, you won't really notice a difference between the two.

A higher C rating also means that the battery can keep its voltage up better under load.

Will they have the cell slot bumps? Hopefully not. If yes, can they be dremeled down without destroying the case?

Thumbs up

Thanks for the explanation.
That explains, why I felt a huge difference between Reedy 5000 mAh/20C and 5200 mAh/35C. My GTB was drawing more current than my 20C pack can handle.

My GTB is thirsty on power, as well

Even only with a 13.5

Does the 24.5 mm for the 40C 5200 mAH include the cell slot bumps or is the battery flat on the bottom?

My T2008 has just under 23 mm clearance under the top deck, and I don't want to fiddle with shims to raise the top deck.

If the 40C 5200 mAH will not fit in the T2008, when will the 22 mm high 40C 4700 mAH battery be available. Thanks.

Hello all,

Just wondering what numbers people are seeing on their new 5200 packs.

Cheerz.

When did I miss this? That will prove to be a smart move IMO. Great news....and glad I only bought 1 3800

Between those two batteries there should not be a noticeable difference as they are both pretty top quality. There is a math reminder in this though, "C" rating is directly related to capacity, ie. a 3800mah/30C (able to handle 114 amps) battery can't manage the same amp draw as a 5200mah/30C (able to handle 156amps) because "C" rating is a multiple of the pack's capacity. At a given "C" rating, bigger is always better and the less taxed a pack is the better. They will perform better and last longer.

Will these 4700 EFRA packs be imported to the UK by CML? They don't seem to carry any of your lipo's at the moment.

Yes CML will carry the 4700/40C+ and the 5000/28C+ EFRA packs. The 4700 will be released first.
