So the 23.5mm measurement is to the bottom of the humps? Since most humps serve little to no security in locking to chassis, people will just grind those off and use a baseplate for sedan. So is it close to 21mm excluding the humps?

I get so many emails that when I know somebody I take time to respond and then it gets shuffled down the list. I will dig up your email and reply in today.

No 23.5 is without the bumps as EFRA has seperated the bumps from the actual cell compartment. So it's 23.5 and 25.00 with bumps.

We finally had a chance to cycle 5 random production 5200/40C+ packs. Results are what we expected based from the info our supplier gave us.

Packs were charged at 10 amps on the Hyperion Duo Balance charger and discharged at 35 amps on the GFX. Voltage sensing leads were attached on the 12 gauge wire where the Deans connector is soldered to the packs power leads. Room temp was 73 degrees and the packs were cycled 2 times as when they came in they were cool/cold. The numbers are from the second cycle which was started one hour or so after the first cycle was done.

#1 557 (5415mAh) - 7.46V - 5.2 IR

#2 549 (5337) - 7.44 - 5.4

#3 539 (5240) - 7.44 - 5.2

#4 536 (5211) - 7.45 - 5.5

#5 541 (5259) - 7.45 - 5.2

I'm not familiar with that car. How much length do you have before you hit the bulkheads ?

We have been talking about some packs for the E-Revo so I created a section on the SMC area of this site for these new packs.

Here is some info some might like to know about our Lipos. As I have said before these are made exclusively for us and we feel there the best Lipos made to date. The R&D of our supplier is extremely strong and improvements are being made regularly. One of they key features of our packs besides low IR and good average voltage is cycle life. The 3D helicopter fliers have noticed that our Lipos have much better cycle life than any other packs they have flown.

Here is a cycle life test on our new 40C+ cells that shows how a cell can be tested to see how it holds up to cycling. This tests consist of 100 straight cycles. This is harsher than doing 100 cycles with rest but it's still showing how a cell will drop over each cycle.

Here is how the test is setup:

Step 1. Charge the cell at 1C at CC mode.
Step 2. Charge the cell at CV mode
Step 3. Rest for 5 minutes
Step 4. Discharge the cell at 50 amps
Step 5. Rest for 8 minutes 20 seconds
Repeat the cycle for 100 times.

The first mAh reading is charge and the second is discharge.

Our supplier tells me that the acceptable standard is that a cell/pack must stay at 70% of it's capacity over 100 cycles. Were very pleased to see that our cells are at 91% which is a very high standard. Test from other brands of so called high cycle life cells have been at 75% .
