Default Can the Team Orion Advantage Carbon charge 3S Lipo?

Hi guys,
Ive done a search on google and on multiple forums and could not find anything regarding this, so here goes...

My Team Orion Advantage Carbon only charges 2S lipo.
However im going to be upgrading my Transmitter to a 11.1V 3S Lipo.

Is there a way that i can get my Orion charger to charge 3S, such as via external lipo balancers, etc? Or is it best for me to just buy a cheap charger that does 3S???

I preferably would like to continue using my Orion one.

Thanks
Ed

Yer ive seen that...

But what i was wondering...if i can buy like an external balancer (the ones that allow you to do a balanced charge)
For example: the Team CheckPoint one allows for a 2S or 3S balanced charge when hooked up to a LIPO compatible charger.

Im still new to lipo, so what i am wondering can i buy on of these external lipo balancer and some how use my Orion to charge 3S via the balancer.
Which led me to my next question....Am i better of buy a cheap 3S charger?

Thanks.
Ed

Balancers cannot increase the cell capabilities of a charger. They simply allow power to flow through them and control the current to each cell. The charger is the limiting factor.

Your best bet for a cheap 3s charger is:

I wouldn't think that the balancer solution would work considering the charger would cut off the charge at about 8.4 volts for all three cells, though this is a 2s rating, whereas a 3s lipo would need a charge cutoff of around 12.6 volts for a full charge.

I know thunderpower has a nice little gem of a charger that can charge 3s, not too sure of the specs but a buddy had one that he got for 50 bucks new at his lhs.

Aha!!

here it is, the max amperage is kinda low, but you have the ability to charge 2 2s packs at the same time as well-
