Got mine finished in the wee hours of last night. The 2s I spent at the wheel were NICE! Look forward to messing with it tonight. MUCH nicer than the micro RS4 I wasted tons of $$ on.

Default My M18

I had my M18 built and ready to run just before Christmas. I haven't had a chance to run it yet so I have no comparison to my RS4 Micro.

Hello all, I just got my M18 in the mail. I was just wondering what type of problems you all are having? Any modifications that may/will be needed to get the car race ready.

The car doesn't work real well out of the box. You have to put it together.

Seriously though. It's awesome...just build and go.

I spent a lot of time working on the electronics. I cut the servo and switch wires for the esc and servo and re-soldered them shorter. I'll post pics later.

What about the power pack? Does anyone run that?

I have the power pack in mine. The nice thing is it fits perfectly. The esc is very small, screws right into its space on the right rear corner. With the integrated on/off switch and low profile, it barely takes up space. The metal gear servo works well too. On the downside, the motor and esc are stock only (180). According to the instructions, the esc will only take the stock motor: no mod micro motors (like the TO Core Elite), no big blocks, nada. The stock mount will only fit a stock motor, anyway. I have a 280 motor, and will try to install it and see if the esc doesn't go up in smoke later.

It has it's pros and cons, but if you're just starting out in 1/18 (like I was), to get all the stuff for $80 (that's what my shop charged me) is really hard to beat for the 1st time out. I'll post pics soon
