If you are using the USB dongle, then you need to add the power lead to the cord that plugs into the controller. Or you need to plug the battery into the splitter so that there is power to the ESC.

Default Update?

So I haven't seen any posts on here in a while about an update the timing function. I run on a small track so there is not much need for the extra straight speed. But when I go to bigger tracks I have to switch to a MMP to keep up with them. I just switched my MMP out for the BMC and I forget how much better it is than anything else in the low end. Just wanted to know where we are on a possible update. Or has that been scraped. The other question is if there will be no update, then are you planning on releasing another ESC that is more adjustable?

Thx

Default BMC V1 Settings

Ok, got a BMC V1 that i've been running on my WGT that has now been updated with a RS. I put this in my 17.5 rubber touring car and was wondering what factory setting to use. Thre are 5 default settings like power, smooth, touring, buggy wtc. Anyone know what would be best(if not the touring setting). Not sure what the differences are with the 5 and I dont have the USB link to find out.

How nice are these BMCs compared to the Speed Passion GT ?
I been seeing these BMC but from what i understand they still never got Software update similar to Tekin or SP ?

My main concern is how well do these compare to Tekin Speed Passion, if not using Turbo. Is it as smooth ?

If you are not running with any timing then they are great. Very smooth power in the mid throttle. But you need to gear up with a 17.5, I would be in the 4.5 - 5.1 range for FDR. In my experience they are way smoother than the Tekin. The latest Tekin software however is very good. If you think you are going to ever want to use Timing boost I would just get the Tekin. I have 2 BMC's and I only use them indoors in the winter time. I run them in the stock buggy class. But there is really no place to use the extra power you get from the Tekin.

Anyway, for the price the Tekin is much better deal. The other controller to consider too is the Mamba Max Pro, which I also use a lot. Just getting into the new Novak kinetic for TC and so far it really rocks. It's just a little pricey compared to the Tekin or Mamba.
