+1 It has been silent on here for sometime. It would be nice if we could get and ETA. I am still running this controller and I almost bought another one, but I am waiting to see what happens for now.

KO really needs to get on the update for the BMC. I think past a certain point, no product will be able to get new customers and especially returning customers to upgrade. Our KO BMC is sitting in a box since December.

Dynamic timing and Boost with a MOD motor is now the new battle ground in the ESC wars. Hara at the recent ETS race demonstrated the power of this with his GM ESC and a 4.5 motor.

KO is now an additional step behind the market. The peak of the outdoor season is here where timing and boost is important. It is the difference between the A main and the C main.

Please KO, put more resources on this project.

The last post by ko staff said thry had not come up with anything. i think some of there focus might be elsewhere.. i.e radios servos, who knows. i can imagine it wont be until next season.

i purchased a tekin and love it. i did keep my KO just incase KO comes up with something

Yeah I own 2 BMC's, I was hoping that KO would have something by now, I love the smoothness of the controller, but for 17.5 it is nowhere near the Tekin.
We ran RCGT back in the winter, boost turned off on the Tekins, and its fairly even. I dont want to knock KO, but its been well over a year since v1.5 came out. I know that good stuff takes time to develop, but we need something sooner than later.

How are you guys finding the BMC in 10th scale offroad? Probably 10.5 2wd and a little hotter in 4wd. Opinions welcome, thanks!

Those who want to drive in the front buy's a Tekin. Those who drives behind is loyal to KO

Shame on KO that they let their buyers onsupport with an update....

KO is seriously lossing the market here.

Yeah Dane, I tried to hold out but I wasnt able to compete. I kept one of my Ko's just in case though. I love my Tekin, the speed difference is unreal.

Yeah, KO really needs to step up their game if they want to stay in the ESC business. Now mod motors are running boost so they are 2 steps behind the game. I own both the tekin and HW, and they are fast. Love how they let you do a software upgrade for free too. But you have to send my KO back and upgrade for a fee. That actually makes it 3 steps behind...

Maybe they are re-evaluating their product line. Either way, the KO is sitting in my short course truck.

It is a little bit disappointing that nobody from KO is reacting on this threat...

Ore do they have no time to react because they are to bussy with programming and testing a software update

No, just kidding

At least I now have a use for this paper weight in my pitbox:

From KO's USA website:

VFS-1 BMC ROAR Spec

The VFS-1 BMC can now be updated to comply with the new ROAR Spec class. The update adds the function of the LED flashing at neutral when NO timing is set to the ESC for easy technical inspection. This service is offered as a free update through KO PROPO America and only we only ask that to pay for the return shipping.

Are they serious? They can add a flashing light 'just in time' for ROAR's rule change... but cant meet a demand of their loyal customers that have already laid down their hard earned cash?

ROAR didnt purchase my speed controller for me, nor do i care about defunct ROAR ruling. IMO... ROAR is a ghost, merely a guideline of what it once was to R/C. Nice move KO, talk about a Knock Out... outta my pit box.
