in 17.5 you do not need the fan i run mostly 13.5 and feel no fade unless im overgeared and the motor comes off at 180+ this is the profile i run in 10.5-13.5-17.5 i used this profile to win 17.5 at the indoor champs 08 and the IIC 09 also finished 4th in 13.5. just play with the drag brake. use model 1

goop.. what 17.5 motor did you use with this? Duo? (if its the duo... which timing hole?)

thanks! I'll be testing the X-12 17.5s this weekend at the Ko Propo Grand Prix.

i do run a duo in 17.5 in middle timing hole do the math 84 spur 45 pinion 2.73 internal with 2.2 inch foam tires

i ran the x12 10.5 at the halloween classic run my profile and change the timing to 4 and take out a lot of drag brake use the #2 timing adjuster for the motor this is the gearing i ran with a 10.5
102spur 35 pinion 2.0 internal and 2.2 inch tires

Hmmmm... 5.1FDR Thats a bit lower geared than what we run in RCGT

I ran your profile right after IIC and liked it. I found that it's suited to a smooth trigger finger and a car that has good corner speed.

I had created my own profile and when I saw yours tried it and liked it as well.

So I programmed a new profile using aspects of both that I liked and ran that for the remainder of the RCGT Showdown.

I however don't run any timing in the motor.

wish I'd know this for the weekend gone as I had severe cogging on the bottom end. cured by pulling the the 1st 8 or 9 sliders down.

version 1.0 will studder off the line but v1.5 will not thats why i asked

I just picked up another one of these 1.5 units from Nexus after experiencing the first one running 12th scale 13.5. The smoothness of the throttle convinced me to get one for my sedan as well. It is soo cool to change the behavior of the car by just having to move the little slides around. It truly remarkable that we can now taylor map motor characteristics just like we can on full size engines using MegaSquirts or VTEC programmer minus the fuel/air ratio curves.

Incredible little gem of a speedo. Looking fwd to running 17.5 TA with it.
