My feel is that it is smooother (with the reedy mod settings) than the sxx tc spec.
No need for a capacitor, needs a voltage booster for 1 cell lipo or a receiver pack(most do).

The smoothest speedy I have used but can also be set very aggresive if you need to.Must get the ICS adaptor to change the settings however the speedy is awesome.

Ther are 5 preset in the speedy that you can change to without the ICS.
The ICS does connect to the computer it is about $50 I think, well worth it as you can store different profiles on your PC.

It has 5 preset profiles without buying the adapter. The adapter is about $65 (I think) and it will allow you to go on the KO website and download settings like Drew Ellis' TQ and win in Vegas. It also has one from Ralph Burch. The adapter has the driver disc and the cords to hook to your pc and then you can modify the settings to suit you. You have to have this if you want to use #6 timing. Hope this helps.

Here's a fwiw...

I FINALLY got my BMCs installed in the 1s 1/12 cars I'm taking with me to the big TimeZone Gran Prix next weekend. I was thinking I'd have to do some "workaround" wiring to make the booster work. WRONG!! Plugged one of my cheap Chinese boosters directly in-line in the ESC's receiver lead between the esc and the receiver and VOILA!!

Then my only concern was that there could be a low-voltage situation so I used my GFX to drain battery to cutoff (3volts) and then hooked up the esc, etc to it. It seemed to work fine.

Add this esc to the VERY short list of easily plug-n-play booster opportunities. The only other esc we've had work truly plug-n-play for these boosters is the Novak GBB 4-cell.

The software alows you to manipulate the speed control in every way; Adjust all aspects of the powerband.... adjust timing, brake, dragbrake, etc.

Also everyone seems to forget that if you have the KO servos.... you can also use the software to adjust speed, expo and sensitivity of your Servos. Actually you can download the servo sftware from KO site and the USB adapter that comes with the KO software allows you to hook it too your sevo.

So when everything is ready,i should try to connect the esc to pc.
But i only get message with "no connection"
For sure,i had turn the power on the esc

Hope someone can help me..;-)
Have you resolve your problem ?
I've got the same problem.
Each time is "Connection failed" !!! and I've try every "comm port" proposed.

With a Lipo Battery, when you plug the USB adapter and the speedo, is it normal that the red light is still lighting when the speedo is power off ?

Thank you

Keep trying the com ports. You need to make sure your driver for the usb dongle is installed. If it is not you will never get a com connection. This is not the same as the BMC manager for stocl motors.

You do not need to power up the esc. It will get the power it needs from the pc conection.
