How to hold lipos in TC5

Do you use the stock battery mounts and holder to hold lipos in on the TC5 or do you use some sort of tape to hold lipos or is their an aftermarket piece for lipos..

And if you do use tape or whatever how exactly do you do it

use servo tape or shoe goo between the battery strap and lipo = making the strap and lipo one unit.

I would suggest taping it in. This reduces the possibility of tweaking the chassis by tightening the battery strap too tight. Also, you will need to remove the holders from the chassis. If you do not, the lipo will not sit flush on the chassis. If you take off the battery strap you will see two slits in the chassis where you can slide the battery tape through.

Currently I use tape. But Poochy does it the way lots of people do. I recommend pooches way of doing it. If you happen you use tape be sure to dremal down the edges of those slots that tape goes thru. Other wise it will cut the tape and cause your batter to move. It could move in to the belt and cut the casing(mine did it) or just fall out of the car.

Just some advice. Hope it helps.

i use the ppd billet plates. servo tape to bottom of lipo. by far the cleanest lipo install. fits with tape or strap with speedzone usa 5400 35c lipo

I Double tape my lipo in for the race nite, I just keep hitting it at 8amps between runs so there is no need for a quick release i just tape it in good once

I use this with a ppd weight base weight, useing the base weight it installs in the car, no glueing to the lipo.
