Thanks. I wasn't sure of the differences between the new T2R Pro and the original T2R.

For that matter I am still unsure of the internal ratio differences on all the XRAY T2's

T2
T2R
T2 007
T2 008
T2 009
T2R Pro

Only 008 had bigger spool and diff and smaller pulleys - standart sizes were included in kit as well. So all of them have same internal ratio (008 had option of using different internal ratio in kit).

I just built mine up this past Friday, I've built quite a few cars and must say Xray's are the best fit and finish! I built two 008's before and the T2R-Pro was very similar, I ordered the Lunsford turnbuckles before I ordered the car from Nexus. With the fiberglass chassis the car has alot more flex in it which made the car ver fun and easy to drive on Asphalt I used the recomended asphalt set-up and the car was next to dialed. Even though it's a somewhat budget car.... the quality of fitment and engineering of the whole package is better than some companys top of the line cars

So how do you guys like the car? Have any of you raced it on low bite and high bite asphalt?

I love the car on low bite asphalt, the basic setup works good. I lowered the rear shocks to position #2. and moved the front to #3. With that said the car flex makes it handle awsome.
On high bite it's a different story, I lowered the roll center and ran my downstops at 6-front and 5 rear. I was running a 10.5 in it with 5.4fdr, when comming out of the sweeper and rolling onto the straight at 90% throttle the inside front wheel would lift due to high traction and a VERY flexible chassis.
I think in a stock class (17.5) and the 13.5 class the car will do awsome. with the 10.5 or lower I think it's a bit much. Don't get me wrong or twisted, the car is Super easy to drive. Eventually I'll get the 009 chassis for it to run mod, but for now I have a Stock class winner.
I did upgrade the diff to the 009 aluminum version just for ease of adjusment, and have installed the new 52mm ECS shafts and installed the Lunsford turnbuckles. Aluminum wheel hexes and Asphalt top deck. I basically have the 009 minus carbon chassis, and orange anodized parts.

Very similar! The chassis just has ALOTmore flex in it. From my experience with the 008 and using the Multi-Flex, even the stiffest setting on the T2R-PRO is more flexible than the 008 on its Softest setting. i highly recomend this car for asphalt racing were it's typicaly low to medium traction

This car is tempting.
Xray is the new Tamyia!!!

They figured out Tamyia's sales strategy. sell a tub car for $100 and sell each 'Hop-up' part for outrageous prices, and in the end you'll have spent $500 to have a high-end car.

Honestly, I would already have one... probably two if the T2R was priced at the $200 mark.

I had this car in my hands and I belive it's great for price. It doesn't really need many hop-up parts. Only thing I would really get are turnbuckles for more comfortable setting.

Does anyone make a lipo tray or holder for the T2 '007? I use orion 5000 lipo's and added the shims like the one Nexxus racing did but it's a pain to add the extra weight to the pack 'cause i use it in other cars.
