I went through the setup book, and short of making it loose as hell, there doesn't seem to be a way to work around the spool.
make ur front suspenion softer

Yeah, I'm thinking softer springs, but it will never match the turn in of a one way diff. I found the multi-diff, but is there a simple one way option, something under $70?

Default forward motor mount

Hi, has any one tried the forward motor mount conversion with this kit?

I,ve just got one and the diff covers do not fit as the pulley is narrower than the kit composite one? has this happened to any one else?

cheers,

M

What all on this car needs to be replaced to be competitive in a stock 17.5 class? i am guessing turnbuckles for sure...that seems to be the main complaint. What turnbuckles will work on the car? thanks, Matt

I know its an older car, but the on road program I bought mine for(a few years ago) was short lived. Lucky for me, another has started up. Its still small, just gaining traction. I replaced my spool with a ball diff because I hated the pathetic turn in and chatter. Its smoother, but still a little weak on steering. Are there any asphalt setups that anyone can suggest? I started with the kit's base asphalt setup, and have been making tweaks. It's a little loose on power, but ok. I'd like more initial turn in off power. I softened the front end, but haven't messed with the roll center. Short of buying a one way front diff, I'm just not sure what else I can do.

I was running a non boosted 17.5, so the guy I was up against pretty well spanked me in the main(he has a super ESC). He's been racing on road consistently, so I really don't fell bad. I did made a few boo boos, then broke my car. There were 4 of us at the beginning of the day, only 3 signed up and just two were left when the main began. I'm hoping to do better next time.

I have one that needs the bearings cleaned and lubed, I moved up to a T3-11 and my son loves dirt. I thought he was going to use it. If your still interested, let me know.

My car has stock pro links on it, as far as I can tell they look like the ones on the car all the way up to my T3-11. the 12 has a new link design. I also put the spring steel outdrives, so I was'nt replacing alum ones all the time. Put the 20 center drive gears in and buy a 69 tooth spur for a TC4 and you can get your pinion down in size. I had to sand a little on one side to get it too fit, but works great.

Guys, I have a T2 (007) that came with the thick carpet chassis, so I am looking for a thinner / more flexible one for low-grip asphalt. If anyone here has a chassis (new or used) they can part with for a reasonable price, send me a pm. Thanks.

Exotec has T2 '007 chassis. I forget whether it replaces EU [rubber] or US [carpet] but worth a look see.
