that is clearly a mistake that I have already brought to the webmaster attention.......the same mistake was made on my set up from the Colorado nats where I won and we couldnt use smelling additives so I used WD-40 which worked the best but when he asked for my set up to put on there I said I used the reedy race set up from tamiya track and forgot to tell him that I used wd-40 instead of FX2....Vicky is sponsored by Team Associated and Power Push Batteries so the webmaster knew she won but probably had no idea that it was handouts...and I am sure he wasnt told either....that was an honest mistake on our part....

Thanks for the info. Part of the reason I asked is that I have seen people make a similar claim and stand by it (that since Team XYZ "tuned" a handout motor then they won the race with "Team XYZ Power").

And, I see you have as much trouble sleeping as I do.

Hey Barry I just read the interview you did with Chris Freader of Rochester R/C in Cleveland- great interview!! I was actually alittle surprised at some of your answers and it was cool to hear about the tracks in other countries. I can't believe Surikarn has NINE freakin' tracks within an hour of his home!!!

Aight- TTYL- I guess I'll see ya at the birds unless you wanna come to Memphis and get "worked"...

I haven't read the book or seen any of the bad movies, but it's a classic sentence

Apex,

Thanks for the words

I used a 9X2 double PT Motor with 18 deg of timing Stn springs and 728 brush's .. I hope this helps.. I geared it 24/100 with a 1.84 rear tire...

Mike... I thought you had said on another thread that you guys ran low timing like 10-12 deg on the PT motors??? Is it because you guys ran different variance winds in Cleveland?

Do you have any idea what kind of dyno numbers you are looking for out of these motors? like watts, rpm, and efficiency? I know you guys don't all run the same wire sizes/circular mill, but I'm just looking for a ballpark. I don't want you to give away your Secrets... just trying to figure out what I'm missing.

thanks,

Michael

Hey Temp...

I was running much lower timing leading up to cleveland because i was running a 8 turn not a 9 that is the reason

AS for the dyno numbers etc.. We do not use anything to test the motors other then the track. So the only way we can tell is to run it .. The motors are so fast and hot that dyno's do not work like they used to ..

As for the winds. I am thinking it was a 9x2 split wind of some sort...

Sorry i could not be of more help maybe barry can shed some more light on the subject.
