Would be nice to see a Heavy Duty carpet that stands up to the abuse that rubber tires dish out.

Fasttrak HD is simply the original Fasttrak Racing Carpet on “steroids”. We took the original product and improved all the aspects of the product. Looking at the two different versions side by side, it is difficult to tell the difference. However, the HD is a bit thicker and much tougher. Fasttrak HD withstands the rigors of today’s high speed R/C model cars with ease.

Fasttrak HD was used at the IIC in Vegas in August and just last weekend at the US Indoor Champs in Cleveland. It performed flawlessly! High grip, no fuzz, no loose carpet fibers, no fiber stringing; simply a perfect carpet racing surface.

The HD was designed with the increasing rubber tire market in mind.

Yes, the Snowbirds will be using Fasttrak HD.

Depending on quantity, the price is around 6.50 - 7 per square yard.

Unfortunately not yet. The investment is quite high for a distributor to bring in a big number of rolls. We are currently working with our European distributor in Austria, Hoeco Modellbau (www.hoeco.at) to possibly carry the carpet in the future.

We have made a number of direct shipments to Europe, Australia and Japan.

Thanks for the info on the carpet. Does the Fasttrack HD carpet have more or less grip than the Original Fasttrak carpet?

The grip level "out of the box" is about the same as regular Fasttrak, however over the long haul, the grip remains much higher for the foam tire cars because they don't collect all the loose fuzz created by the rubber tire cars. rubber tire guys probably won't see much difference in grip, but they will spend less on replacement bearings.
