For 1/12 scale carpet I'd have to go Komodo Hemi, for TC carpet I'd go Checkpoint Money.

I'm really impressed with the Reedy Stockstsar, so I'd expect good things from the Challenger19, but I haven't had a chance to try one out yet.

I've liked the checkpoint indoors, it works for me just as well outdoors. Outdoors I geared it at 5.3 / 5.4 on a medium/large track and it was plenty fast enough for me, but don't remember the gearing I used for indoors.

I would advise getting the harder brushes for it too, as the softer ones it comes with are apparently more suited to 4cell applications.

hope that helps

I have the Komodo Dragon Pro, and I really like it. The brushes are REALLY soft though, so if your not racing HARDCORE, I would get harder brushes like TC3Team said.

Maybe I race in stock too much, but I was more than impressed with mine when it was geared right, it had plenty of go to it

OH without a doubt Checkpoint makes one hell of a motor! I just went with a Kamodo because it was easier for me to buy, and it was one of the top motors out there. I am very pleased with it.

I'm pretty sure I got my Kamodo from Tower Hobbies, but I think Horizon has them too. BTW it's made by Trinity in case anyone was wondering.

When I ran 19t I was always able to get my Komodo's faster then other guys Checkpoints. It did not matter if it was standard or Hemi wound. They were just fast motors imo. I always used F brushes in them as well.
