if your interested in the TC3 you can check mine out in this thread

http://www.rctech.net/forum/showthre...threadid=25604

It started out as a factory and made its way up to nearly factory team.

There are some many parts for the TC3, and all the hobby shops around me stock almost every single one of them.

Even stock parts which rocks for when you break something.

I wanted to get into R/C cars for almost 1.5 yrs before I bought that, and I spent the whole time researching which car was the best bang for the buck, and after 1.5 yrs I still ended up with a TC3

Not to mention I am subscribed to R/C touring magazine and its always in there winning showdowns.

Just make sure you at least get the factory version, skip right over the cheap "racer" version, you will end up turning it into a factory after the first day you drive it anyway.

Good luck

Then you probably want an oval car too.

Oval pan
road pan
road touring

there are many kinds of cars.. figure out what you want before you make your purchase!

I believe that the most competitive car you can get for reasonably money, is the XRay Raycer. At least for touring

For motor, I would say go stock, due to budget. Personally, I like the P2K; Good torque and it take a lot of abuse.

ESC, I would say Novak or LRP. Both are good quality and with good customer service.

Batteries, I dont know. But do yourself a favor and get a real good peak detecting charger from the very beginning. It'll both save money in the long run, and ensure good battery performance.

HeY!!!

Yeah i'd have to agree w/ Cole for one of best but that car is also just as finiky though and need to set it up right. I also think the FT TC3 is a great deal or Losi G+. but since you wanna do oval also but you want an onroad prolly the Xray Racer. well good luck though on gettin started and hope you are happy w/ whatever you decide to get.
