Default Hyperion Charger Balancer Confusion

Based off of many recommendations here , I got the Hyperion 6060i ac/dc charger balancer. Last night was the first time using so I read and re-read al instructions. I am confused on the balancer part.
My batteries have a 3 pin balancer connector, yet the Hyperion connector for 2S lipo is a 5 pin.

I plugged in anyway but i get a message stating 'balancer not connected.

What gives?? Is there some special addapter i need??
