Default Mi2 to Mi2 EC

Ok a mate of mine owns a Mi2 and whats to turn it in to a Mi2 EC what parts does he need to convert it? I cant ask him any questions about it because it takes a few days between replies as he is in South Africa and by that time this thread would be dead

Regards

Your friend should contact Grand Prix Models in Boksburg, they are the South African agents for Shumacher. They'll be able to tell him what is required, I'm not 100% sure but I think some EC parts are already discontinued.

So a quick search and the answer is revealed...

http://www.rctech.net/forum/electric...ml#post1945417

You can read it but what it comes down to is that almost everything has changed between the Mi2 and Mi2 EC, so it would be cheaper to buy a complete EC kit than buying the parts to convert to an EC.

From the Mi2 to the Mi2 EC, if buying parts and $$$ is no object to your friend, then he will need the following..

All 4 shocks
Lower and upper chassis
Rear diff, center pulley.........
Rear belt
Front belt
Front and rear shock towers....

Basicly, 70% of the car.....if he is interested, I have 2 Mi2EC that I can sell 1....garantee MUCH cheaper then him buying the parts with dealer price. But the major question is, can you even FIND those Mi2EC parts right now...?
