I've done it years ago
and it is cheaper and easier just to take Mr Hanulec advise
It's physics...I know folks got to make a living, but physics is what it is.....It seems that someone had rebuilt them with 30k oil back on page 655, post#9813 ....It does not seem too difficult....

Of course Bert hadn't read this portion:

It looks like the shaft seals have gone hard with age.
Which 30K oil or green slime will NOT repair so even if his little hack would work (even back on that page I don't think it was verified to have actually worked, just a hack for the day kind of thing) it wouldn't work for long as the seals going hard would not get magically fixed with some 30K oil or slime.

So get new seal from McmasterCarr or something...They should be cheap vs ordering new shocks...Throwing parts away and buying anew every year is the best way to get priced out of the hobby...Good luck....

Back in the days Awesomatix did offer new A700 shock seal due of leaking problem..
