So whats the advantage of going to the new shock rod guides / vanes? Can I use those vanes in my 2.1 shocks?

I'm planning on running my A700 Evo2 on asphalt this weekend with the alloy chassis and bottom deck brace, in 13.5 boosted. In terms of the brace, does anyone have a starting point with how many screws to install into the brace and in which holes?

The track is low grip and no additive is allowed. I've run the carbon lower deck on it before with good results, but the increased flex of the alloy chassis means I'm trying that this weekend.

I run the RFG, 500cst in the 2.1 dampers with soft springs. Would anyone recommend using a top deck with the allow chassis?

I've been told that not having a FFG and the AM19's is holding my car back especially on the black carpet. Any truth to this? I know there's more in the car, just seeing if spending that much$$$ on just a couple of options is worth it...thanks all

Klingforth has used a regular A700L and L2 on carpet and won. I don't think it is holding you back, especially on carpet.

The FFG probably makes a bigger difference running mod on low traction asphalt.

My personal opinion is that the FFG is a good upgrade, but yes, Klingforth has been successful with the L cars. They are competitive either way really. You do have some options - if you're interested in trying an FFG, one possibility is find a used EVO here in the classifieds. You can transfer the parts to your L car and have a bunch of spares left. Used A700's have been selling for decent prices.

Tried those settings and the car was awesome. TQ and win in 13.5 boosted as well as lap record over half a second faster than the rest. Thanks for the input.
