Just listed a 2 week old EVOII on the for sale thread. I have 2 and don't need 2

Will the thicker drive shaft fit on an EVO1 with that brace that goes up to hold the flex tube? I was looking at my car last week and noticed the stock shaft is very close to that brace (AM49). I haven't tested it yet, but do you remove the AM49 if you run the fatter drive shaft?

So I put the bigger drive shaft on and it does rub a bit over a run. Not a big deal, just what I expected.

It definitely hits it. I just dremeled off a little from the AM49 and it still rubs but not bad.

Thanks guys! My cars made it really easy for me. Super fast and easy to drive, didnt have to drive strapped which helped keep me out of the dots. Super thanks to Hanulec for all the support! It was nice getting to meet a few more people and put faces to names on here!

Anyone have any luck getting a GD1 to work with really thick oil / putty for the front? If so any tips? I tried and it pushes the outdrives and makes the diff lock up. (The same thing happens if you overfill the dif with light oil)

if the outdrives push out, just remove some putty/oil. getting this right can take a little bit. using ear plugs or Diff Wacks will allow you to build the stiffest gear diff.

another option is to swap to the upgraded outdrives- parts needed include-

ST26
ST23
PIN02
OR06
